Khan.Today, initially I’m starting Illustrator for you. So before
starting Adobe Illustrator, there’s something important I believe I should
share with you. The first question that comes… Photoshop is good but
Illustrator isn’t that good or Illustrator is good and Photoshop isn’t. Well we
cannot compare, we shouldn’t as there’s no competition. Because you see Adobe
is one company which’s making both softwares. So obviously it won’t raise a war between its own
productions! So first of all, keep in mind that these are different softwares.
Photoshop has a different job of editing images Illustrator has a totally
different job of making vector
illustrations Now what are vector and raster, I’ll explain you later
definitely But for now just understand that this software is where you can
design logos, icons and similar small things. In fact if you go to a higher
level, you can design a lot of things. Besides it’s a trend nowadays for flat
designs. I personally have designed many mobile apps on Illustrator. So
Illustrator has… big scope! If you learn it, the biggest advantage you get is
that you can earn money! You can go online and money. There are many websites,
like Fiverr. I don’t recommend Fiverr, it Pays very low Prices. 99designs you
have. So there are many such websites where you can earn money online. But
definitely you have to learn first. So, c’mon let’s start. So this is your
interface of Illustrator, and if you notice… if you’d have seen Photoshop, it’s
similar to that to some extent. If you see here first on the left side, this is
the Tool Bar, and there are many tools in here which you’re going to use time
to time for different tasks. And Illustrator’s interface is really interesting.
You can move these from their place and place them back too. On the right side
it’s not Tool Bar, but called panels instead. I always recommend, the 2 arrows
here, when clicking it, you can get enough detailed view. only if it doesn’t
irritate you. And if you need more screen space then I’ll recommend keeping it
closed. Now ahh… let’s start. I am taking a new file Now when taking a new
file, it’ll ask you few things Like, what should be the size of your document,
what are the properties...I’m using Illustrator CC 2017 If you’re using some
older version, you’ll find almost similar things there too, definitely. So here
are some custom sizes, these are which I’ve used recently. And…If you want to
save something of your own, that also can be done here. You can always find it
here. Here are options of mobile devices given too, also for web, print,
film& Tv, art & illustration so there are different sizes available.
For example the size for a postcard, given here, If you come to the print side…
from here I can simply select A4 or Letter size, and here are its width and height if you notice. If
you do calculations like measurement
etc, you can change units form here or if you can even change it inside,
after a new file is taken. So now I’m keeping it on inches and… let’s create!
There are some more details on the bottom which I’ll discuss later For now it’s
not needed as such, or you’ll get confused. Alright, ‘‘create’’. So here I get
a new document, and this is of letter size If you noticed, when I was taking a
new file, there appeared one more thing called Artboards. If you need multiple
pages… you can do it from here. Like I need 2,3 or 4 pages. And as I create, you
can see a document appears with 4 pages. For now I’m closing it. Let’s start
from here, a single page. So first of all we’ll start from Tool bar here. See
the very first tool given here, this is called Selection tool. If you notice a
black arrow is made on it. Just next to it, is Direct Selection tool which has a white arrow it. Before using all these I’d like to
tell you, well first you need to make some shape then you can select it right?
Another thing is, all the tools given over here, you can see a tiny arrow
alongside. This arrow show that there are additional tools inside, for example
If I stay clicked on it for a while, a dropdown menu will appear. So let’s
start with this rectangle. Now… it’s one of those tools which you must’ve used
several times, even in paint. If you have used Microsoft paint then you must’ve
made a simple box like this. It’s just the same, you can make simple rectangles
in here. Be sure to notice that if you… only click and leave it, then it’ll ask
you for the size itself. I’m cancelling it. There are 2 ways, one is to click
and drag. Now whenever I use

پروڈکشن کے درمیان جنگ نہیں کھڑا کرے گا! تو سب سے پہلے یہ ذہن میں رکھیں کہ یہ
مختلف سافٹ وئیر ہیں۔ فوٹوشاپ کے پاس امیجز کو ایڈیٹنگ کرنے کا ایک الگ کام ہے
السٹریٹر کا ویکٹر کی عکاسی کرنا بالکل مختلف کام ہے اب ویکٹر اور راسٹر کیا ہیں،
میں آپ کو بعد میں ضرور بتاؤں گا لیکن ابھی کے لیے صرف اتنا سمجھ لیں کہ یہ سافٹ ویئر
ہے جہاں آپ لوگو، آئیکونز اور اسی طرح کے ڈیزائن بنا سکتے ہیں۔ چھوٹی چیزیں. درحقیقت
اگر آپ اعلیٰ سطح پر جائیں تو آپ بہت سی چیزوں کو ڈیزائن کر سکتے ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ
آج کل فلیٹ ڈیزائنز کا رجحان ہے۔ میں نے ذاتی طور پر Illustrator پر بہت سی موبائل ایپس ڈیزائن کی ہیں۔
تو Illustrator کے پاس… بڑا گنجائش ہے! اگر آپ اسے سیکھتے ہیں،
تو آپ کو حاصل ہونے والا سب سے بڑا فائدہ یہ ہے کہ آپ پیسے کما سکتے ہیں! آپ آن
لائن جا سکتے ہیں اور پیسے بھی۔ بہت سی ویب سائٹس ہیں، جیسے Fiverr۔ میں Fiverr کی سفارش نہیں کرتا، یہ بہت کم قیمت
ادا کرتا ہے۔ آپ کے پاس 99 ڈیزائن ہیں۔ تو ایسی بہت سی ویب سائٹس ہیں جہاں سے آپ
آن لائن پیسے کما سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن یقینی طور پر آپ کو پہلے سیکھنا ہوگا۔ تو، چلو
شروع کرتے ہیں. تو یہ آپ کا Illustrator کا انٹرفیس ہے، اور اگر آپ نے نوٹس کیا…
اگر آپ نے فوٹوشاپ دیکھا ہوگا، تو یہ کسی حد تک اس سے ملتا جلتا ہے۔ اگر آپ یہاں
سب سے پہلے بائیں جانب دیکھیں تو یہ ٹول بار ہے، اور یہاں بہت سے ٹولز ہیں جنہیں
آپ مختلف کاموں کے لیے وقتاً فوقتاً استعمال کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ اور
Illustrator کا
انٹرفیس واقعی دلچسپ ہے۔ آپ انہیں ان کی جگہ سے ہٹا سکتے ہیں اور انہیں واپس بھی
رکھ سکتے ہیں۔ دائیں طرف یہ ٹول بار نہیں ہے، بلکہ اس کے بجائے پینل کہلاتا ہے۔ میں
ہمیشہ تجویز کرتا ہوں، یہاں 2 تیر، جب اس پر کلک کریں، تو آپ کافی تفصیلی نظارہ
حاصل کر سکتے ہیں۔ صرف اس صورت میں جب یہ آپ کو پریشان نہ کرے۔ اور اگر آپ کو اسکرین
کی مزید جگہ کی ضرورت ہے تو میں اسے بند رکھنے کی تجویز کروں گا۔ اب آہ… شروع کرتے
ہیں۔ میں ایک نئی فائل لے رہا ہوں اب نئی فائل لیتے وقت آپ سے کچھ چیزیں پوچھیں گی
جیسے کہ آپ کی دستاویز کا سائز کیا ہونا چاہیے، کیا خصوصیات ہیں... میں
Illustrator CC 2017 استعمال کر رہا ہوں اگر آپ استعمال کر رہے ہیں کچھ پرانا ورژن، آپ کو
وہاں بھی تقریباً اسی طرح کی چیزیں ملیں گی، یقینی طور پر۔ تو یہاں کچھ حسب ضرورت
سائز ہیں، یہ وہ ہیں جو میں نے حال ہی میں استعمال کیے ہیں۔ اور… اگر آپ اپنا کچھ
بچانا چاہتے ہیں، تو وہ بھی یہاں کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ آپ اسے ہمیشہ یہاں تلاش کر سکتے
ہیں۔ یہاں موبائل آلات کے اختیارات بھی دیئے گئے ہیں، ویب، پرنٹ، فلم اور ٹی وی،
آرٹ اور مثال کے لیے بھی، اس لیے مختلف سائز دستیاب ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پر پوسٹ کارڈ
کا سائز، یہاں دیا گیا ہے، اگر آپ پرنٹ سائیڈ پر آتے ہیں… یہاں سے میں صرف A4 یا خط کا سائز منتخب کر سکتا ہوں، اور
اگر آپ دیکھیں تو اس کی چوڑائی اور اونچائی یہاں ہے۔ اگر آپ پیمائش وغیرہ جیسے
حسابات کرتے ہیں، تو آپ یہاں یونٹس کے فارم کو تبدیل کر سکتے ہیں یا اگر آپ اسے
اندر بھی تبدیل کر سکتے ہیں، نئی فائل لینے کے بعد۔ تو اب میں اسے انچوں پر رکھ
رہا ہوں اور… آئیے تخلیق کریں! نیچے کچھ اور تفصیلات ہیں جن پر میں بعد میں بات
کروں گا فی الحال اس کی ضرورت نہیں ہے ورنہ آپ الجھن میں پڑ جائیں گے۔ ٹھیک ہے،
''بناؤ''۔ تو یہاں مجھے ایک نئی دستاویز ملتی ہے، اور یہ خط کے سائز کا ہے اگر آپ
نے دیکھا، جب میں ایک نئی فائل لے رہا تھا، تو وہاں ایک اور چیز نظر آئی جسے آرٹ
بورڈز کہتے ہیں۔ اگر آپ کو متعدد صفحات کی ضرورت ہے… آپ اسے یہاں سے کرسکتے ہیں۔ جیسا
کہ مجھے 2،3 یا 4 صفحات کی ضرورت ہے۔ اور جیسا کہ میں بناتا ہوں، آپ دیکھ سکتے ہیں
کہ 4 صفحات کے ساتھ ایک دستاویز ظاہر ہوتی ہے۔ فی الحال میں اسے بند کر رہا ہوں۔
آئیے یہاں سے شروع کرتے ہیں، ایک صفحہ۔ تو سب سے پہلے ہم یہاں ٹول بار سے شروع کریں
گے۔ یہاں دیا گیا پہلا ٹول دیکھیں، اسے سلیکشن ٹول کہتے ہیں۔ اگر آپ دیکھیں کہ اس
پر ایک کالا تیر بنا ہوا ہے۔ اس کے بالکل آگے، ڈائریکٹ سلیکشن ٹول ہے جس میں ایک
سفید تیر ہے۔ ان سب کو استعمال کرنے سے پہلے میں آپ کو بتانا چاہتا ہوں، ٹھیک ہے
پہلے آپ کو کچھ شکل بنانے کی ضرورت ہے پھر آپ اسے صحیح منتخب کر سکتے ہیں؟ ایک اور
چیز یہ ہے کہ یہاں دیئے گئے تمام ٹولز کے ساتھ ساتھ آپ ایک چھوٹا سا تیر بھی دیکھ
سکتے ہیں۔
